The Emergency Management Director's Office
The Marshall County Emergency Management was put into place to minimize the effects of attack and technological or natural disasters upon the people by preparing, implementing and exercising preparedness plans. Emergency Management also assists cities within the County with training for and mitigation of disasters and by coordinating actual disaster response/recovery operations. This agency is also responsible for county wide storm spotting, tornado alerting, flood watches, road closings and the clean up of hazardous material spills. Director Robert Chaney and Assistant Director Daniel Nixon head up this office, while many volunteers assist when and where needed.
